There is an FUSD school board meeting this Wednesday 2/24 at 4:30pm. There will be an opportunity for you to speak and perhaps let the board know that we would like to be able to have Grech Tennis begin operations again. Of course, we would adhere to all established protocols set up by the state and county as it pertains to COVID-19. So, our program may look a bit different than it has in the past. The State of California has put out this: https://www.cdph.ca.gov/Programs/OPA/Pages/NR21-057.aspx State Updates Guidance for Youth and Recreational Adult Sports State Updates Guidance for Youth and Recreational Adult Sports. Date: February 19, 2021 Number: NR21-057 Contact: [email protected]. Football, Soccer, Baseball, Cheerleading, and other Outdoor Sport Competitions May Resume with Modifications in Counties with Case Rates at or Below 14 per 100,000. Currently 27 Counties Have a Case Rate at or Below 14 per 100,000 www.cdph.ca.gov I am hoping that if enough of us speak at the meeting that perhaps we can convince the school district that our program can open up and still be safe. It would be great if we could stress that our program benefits all kids with exercise, education and FUN! The meeting will be on Zoom if you wish to speak or you can submit written comments.
